Antisemitic Abuse Caught on Camera at Polish Airport

A group of Orthodox Jewish travellers were verbally harassed by an airport employee in Poland, after the man was filmed telling them to “go back to Israel” and questioning their presence in the country. The incident, which was recorded by witnesses and shared widely online, has sparked condemnation and renewed concern about antisemitic harassment in Europe, reports i24 News.

The confrontation took place on Tuesday at a Polish airport. In a video circulating on social media, the employee is seen approaching the group aggressively, declaring that Poland was “his country” and asking why they were there. The Jewish travellers, who appear visibly uncomfortable, respond calmly in English and ask the man to stop.

Rather than de-escalating the situation, the employee raises his voice, tells the group to be quiet, and continues his verbal abuse before eventually walking away. No physical violence was reported, but observers said the exchange was clearly intimidating.

The footage spread rapidly online and prompted widespread criticism. Many viewers described the incident as a clear example of antisemitic harassment and called on airport authorities to take immediate action. Others voiced concern about the safety of visibly Jewish people travelling in Europe, amid a broader rise in antisemitic incidents across the continent.

As of now, airport officials have not issued a public statement. There has been no confirmation as to whether the employee has been suspended or disciplined, nor whether a formal investigation has been launched. Jewish organisations and online commentators have urged authorities to respond decisively and make clear that antisemitic harassment has no place in public spaces.
