Man suspected of synagogue molotov cocktail attack arrested following German police TV appeal

German authorities have arrested a 27-year-old man accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a synagogue in Oldenburg, concluding a nine-month investigation, reports The Jerusalem Post.

Police identified the man after releasing CCTV footage of a hooded individual setting the synagogue ablaze, which prompted multiple tip-offs from the public.

Following these leads, officials located and apprehended the suspect in the city of Vechta. A public prosecutor’s office spokesman confirmed that subsequent investigations reinforced the case against him. During questioning, the suspect reportedly admitted responsibility for the attack and is now in custody. Meanwhile, those who provided information to the police will receive a 5,000-euro reward.
