Violent clashes erupt between pro-Palestinian protesters and attendees of an Israeli real-estate event in Los Angeles

Violent clashes broke out on Sunday, June 23, outside a synagogue in Los Angeles, United States, where an Israeli real estate fair was being held, as pro-Palestinian demonstrators tried to prevent people from entering the Jewish house of worship.

The event on real estate investment in Israel was being held in the Adas Torah synagogue, when pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel protesters tried to prevent people from entering, reports The Times of Israel.

One person was arrested for allegedly carrying a “spiked flag.” Police officers with weapons drawn supposedly detained two people who were shouting at protesters from a car. Officers were seen taking a toddler from the vehicle.

In a video on social media, at least one of the anti-Israel protesters can be heard chanting “There is only one solution, intifada revolution.”

Images on social media appeared to show an individual with their face covered with a keffiyeh, using what was said to be bear spray on the pro-Israel supporters.

The police first attempted to intervene between the sides, then declared it an unlawful assembly and eventually police in riot gear cleared the area in front of the synagogue, though scuffles continued to break out in the surrounding area.
