Israeli Soldiers Flee Amsterdam After Being Doxxed by Anti-Israel Group

Two Israeli soldiers were forced to cut short their holiday in Amsterdam and return to Israel after a pro-Palestinian organisation exposed their identities online, accusing them of war crimes. The incident marks an escalation in targeted harassment against IDF personnel abroad, reports The Jerusalem Post.

Doxxing and Security Concerns

The soldiers, who had served in Gaza, were in the Dutch capital on leave when Israel Genocide Tracker (@trackingisrael) published their personal details and photos on social media. The group accused them of committing “genocide in Gaza” and linked them to the alleged abduction of Palestinian civilians. The post, shared directly with the Hind Rajab Foundation, sought to encourage legal action against them.

One of the posts described an Israeli tank commander from the 52nd Battalion, claiming he was involved in “kidnapping hundreds of civilians (especially in Jabalia)” and had “enjoyed taking selfies with them.” Four images accompanied the accusations.

Fearing for their safety, the IDF ordered the soldiers to remain inside their hotel rooms. Shortly after, the army instructed them to leave Amsterdam and return to Israel.

Growing Threats to IDF Personnel Abroad

Israeli media outlet N12 reported that the soldiers had previously shared footage and images from combat zones in Gaza, which Israel Genocide Tracker republished. This breach of privacy raised serious concerns, particularly in light of past violent attacks on Israeli fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv in Amsterdam.

This is the first known case of pro-Palestinian activists targeting regular IDF conscripts. In response, the military has reiterated its security guidelines for soldiers travelling abroad:

Delete all combat-related images or footage from social media.

Make personal accounts private and limit access to content.

Avoid posting real-time travel updates, as these can expose their location.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit acknowledged the incident, stating, “The case is known and is being handled. The IDF is making every effort and taking all necessary measures to protect its service members in Israel and abroad.”

This incident highlights growing security risks for Israeli soldiers outside Israel, as anti-Israel groups increase efforts to identify and target IDF personnel worldwide.
